I spent a surprisingly long time in and around Mount Hood. There is tremendous beauty and tasty wineries, breweries and maybe the best hamburger I’ve ever had. Unfortunately I ate it before I knew it was the best burger ever.

I’ve been to the Willamette Valley a half dozen times now and wanted to try new things. Purely by name I picked two wineries I’ve never been to: Abbey Road and Kramer. Unfortunately, Kramer was closed the day I tried. So I only went to one winery on this visit — Abbey Road. It’s vines are relatively new, but I look forward to future visits when their diverse varietals are ready for drinking.
