The Great Smokey Mountain National Park is the most visited National Park in the US every year. To which I ask, “Really?”. Don’t get me wrong. It’s a National Park and it’s beautiful. But it pales in comparison to Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier, Big Bend, Joshua Tree, Sequoia and maybe even Badlands. I guess being so close to some huge population centers helps. And, to be fair, I have never seen so many bears in my life.
We did find some nice beers and tacos in nearby Johnson City, and had a great time at Blue Bear Mountain camp ground.
